tomhansonphotography 0 Posted October 29, 2011 I would appreciate some thoughts. Junk? Good? Give up the camera and die? I am wondering what I should have done to blend the flash with the warm light of the sunset. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 29, 2011 It's good, and I hope you don't die- you have talent. For some real suggestions I would need to know some basics: what light source were you using, (on camera, two or more strobes etc.) how long did you "drag" the shutter, and probably ISO. Otherwise all I can say is," leave the shutter open a little more, or diffuse your light in a myriad of ways: soft box, red or orange gel, take a few steps back and zoom in- remember the inverse square law." I know a lot of photographers who try for this type of separation of subject from background. They want their portrait to "pop." Either way, I like this. Link to comment
