alfbailey 3 Posted November 7, 2011 It is always great to hear from you, and read your well considered thoughts and feedback. For once a plan come together perfectly with this image. I noticed the clouds forming into the interesting pattern that you can see, and thought I might be able to mimic the shape by timing the waves and adjusting the exposure, of course there were 20 other shots that didn't make it : - ). Interesting to note you have picked up on the stones on the lower RH corner. It is for the exact reasons that you stated ( The anchor point) that I decided on this version, as I did have another version where there was no stones at all visible, but it looked rather bland by comparison.Sincere Thanks and Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

richard_john_edwards 0 Posted June 13, 2012 Alf, firstly let me say, my finger is sore from scrolling down so far ;), now this image gives such a felling of space, motion and vastness. I love it. The image is well anchored with the posts. Th estreaks in the water by the moving water mimics the clouds to perfection. The hint of foreshore for me is the icing on the cake, there is so much detail there, yet for such a small part of the image it plays such a big part.Alf this is excellent workAll the best Richard Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted June 13, 2012 It was one of those inspirational moments that I can't really explain, I just looked at the sky and thought........"yeah, I'll have a go" of course there were another 20 shots that didn't make the grade for various reasons : - ) It's very gratifying to read that you like it. Sincere Thanks & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
