LindaM 2 Posted October 20, 2011 Great expression on his face. I can feel his energy. Love those bright eyes, and the shallow dof. Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted October 20, 2011 thank you, Linda. i actually took the shot from my car window and would have like to have included the entirety of his front legs...but he was yapping up a storm and getting closer and closer to the car as i got the shot off. i had stopped to take a picture of a beautiful quarter horse...and the little guy came out to defend his turf. the horse picture ended up being out of focus...but i salvaged the stop with the pup shot. good to hear from you, as always.regards, john Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted October 20, 2011 John, I really think his legs being cropped off works quite well. It gives him a proximity and makes him more threatening. The legs would imply more distance, and less urgency.A family I know just moved to your home town a couple weeks ago. So far they are loving Tennessee. Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted October 20, 2011 ya know, Linda...I think you're right! Glad to hear your friends are enjoying Tennessee. Feel free to let them know that if they'd like to meet some new friends, my wife and I would be glad to show them the area and/or take them out for a cup of coffee and dessert. Talk to ya soon!Regards,John Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted June 13, 2014 I love this capture! Great job on the focus of the face, the blurry wagging tail behind him. I think Linda's comment about the legs and how their absence contributes to a sense of urgency is spot on. Wonderful capture and great expression. I wish it were just a little lighter but it could just be my monitor (and it's been a long day with major eye strain). Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
