Chopping off her left hand is not good for the composition.  Her arm leads the viewer out of the picture.  I am uploading another image of yours to look at side-by-side.  The composition is much better but you do have a tendency to crop a bit close.

Elena I like the old fashion style you gave to this portrait,and very nice lighting, I find that cutting her hand make her look mutilated. I am working on portrait too and someone gave me the idea of looking for portrait rules, I found this link very interesting for working in this area.
