This is a shot of an African Elephant from the rear at Mysore Zoo.

African elephants (also known as savanna elephants]) are the species

of elephants in the genus Loxodonta (Greek for 'oblique-sided

tooth').The African elephant is the largest living terrestrial animal.

Its thickset body rests on stocky legs and it has a concave back. Its

large ears enable heat loss.Unlike Asian elephants, both male and

female African elephants have tusks.

As usual superb capture of this wild elephant and with remarkable lighting and details, very appealing atmosphere here and very sharp details, the colors are of great add to the way the place look and the move of the elephant is very dynamic.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

It is sad to see such a majestic animal unceremoniously chained to a wall like that!  The textures and details are nice, but I would have changed around the composition for a greater emotional effect.  Right now it is an excellent shot of an elephants behind.  Maybe next time focus on the chain around the rear leg.

Hi Ramesh,

The shot is well done my friend.

The Elephant is looking into the deep green forest , a place that he should be as a free , along with all the other creatures on Earth.

At times, mankind's intervention with nature , is not well founded.

Perhaps someday, if we are visited by advanced beings , the roles will be reversed.

Best Regards,  Mike
