Even after reading Hans explanation, I'm still trying to figure out how it was done... until I turn it 90 degrees.  Good imagination.

A wonderful underwater image, Andrea! The rotation is a good idea and gives an attractive perspective to the subject. Creative artistic work.

Very interesting and creative work.  However I think that without the rotation the image would be even stronger.

Well Done,
Ben

thanks a lot for your time. is right of course, as Hans-Peter say that there isa 90 degree rotation. and yes, maybe is useless and a little bit stupid, but i find it funny, is not, anyway a serious photo. happy to find all this friends of mine after mounths of absence. ciao!

Ciao Carissimo

mi piace interpretare questa straordinaria e bilanciata composizione come l'indispensabile  verticalità dell'essere umano.

Ciao Andrea, I hope that you're doing very well :-) I only noticed your water street series recently, and  have been looking at them over the last few days. Although I really miss seeing 'out of the water photos' by you, I can clearly relate to a different approach, and the search for refreshing new ideas too... Of your series, I personally like this one best, for its wonderful clarity, attractive color, and of course, the originality of the tilt (which really enhances the 'harmonious graphic effect', imo ....  I actually recognized right away your creative hand and clever sense of graphic composition in this one. The faint air bubbles & pebbles against the smoothness of the water is subtle, yet effective. Although I appreciate your WS1 as well for its unusual approach (and Markku expressed it so nicely), I prefer the above photo for its transparent, graphic & esthetic quality...  Gr, M

Beautiful, original shot. I love that you changed the original shot, by rotating it 90 degrees. It made me think, like a lot of your photos do. Keep up the good work, and glad you are back.

I really like the form here, particularly the shapes on the water's surface. These shapes, coupled with the 90 rotation, give the image a "surreal" look.
