3m 0 Posted October 2, 2011 Interesting the way you presented this, Gunnar -- the shooting angle & deliberate tilt allows the viewer to approach the scene from an unusual perspective. In addition, the extreme contrast provides an interesting B&W overall balance to the photo (with the darker areas serving as a solid 'anchor point'). Instead of looking at this as an atmospheric ( and perhaps more typical) 'laundry in narrow street setting', I tend to look at this more as two-dimensional or graphic in approach -- the high contrasts conjure up different shapes, lines & angles here, and make for an unusual and esthetic overall result. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 13, 2011 Dizzying; it took me a moment or two to arrive at a perspective that left me right side up. The high contrst makes me feel like I'm trapped in a geometrically complex, cartoon world. Link to comment
