brano_k 0 Posted October 3, 2011 They all did, long time ago. The contrast between two houses, one new and the other one that should be at least as old as the monument adds to the dramatic feeling. Even the clouds add that ominous pressure to the stone figures. They will stand and withstand. With respect .... Link to comment

deb1 0 Posted February 27, 2012 My immediate thoughts are of the sky reflecting the mood of the actions. There is a sense of turmoil within the clouds and within the men. The home in the background seems to tell of their efforts to defend the home and lives of others. The courage in their faces and actions tell me they are fearless in their battle. The sadness in their expressions tell of the loss they are feeling for others as well as themselves as their determination is being robbed from them as they are killed defending all that is important to others as well as themselves. It's a powerful composition that will at least make their efforts live forever even if they could not. It's a grand tribute! Link to comment
