In the tangled ragweed, amidst wasps and bees (and allergies) this

beauty graced my presence. It was an overcast day, raining only

minutes later and this particular light saturated these beautiful

colors. I appreciate your comments. I tried a few different crops,

but eventually went back to my original composition.

Thanks Mike and Michael.  Mike - I'm really getting to like the Lumix.  It still doesn't beat the Tamron 90 macro, but it's really handy.  And Michael, yes - my eyes are still itching, but it was worth it....I think.

Sam,

Very nice colors, contrast & details in this photograph! The composition is not bad either!

Well done my Ozark friend,

Jim j.

Every monarch I see is a delight - up here in Ontario....during the summer of 2015/16 - actually for quite a few years, I have seen very few.  I am well aware of the dangers they have been facing - mankind continues to make his presence too well known in 'their' world. It is increasingly sad, but I am so happy that you got this capture.  Sorry I did not see it much sooner.
