jerrymat 5 Posted September 18, 2011 Rafael, I love how you have made the entire construct a bit of a logical puzzle; the jig-saw pieces suggesting a flat surface, but the outside-the-puzzle presence of the man and especially a size comparison between the piece he is holding and the empty spot suggesting the distance receding in true perspective, according to the picture in the puzzle - a wonderful conundrum against true logic. You even managed to dredge up a childhood anxiety of mine with the missing corner pieces. My mother would buy second hand puzzles for me to work on and often I would discover one or two pieces completely missing at the end!I shall add this to my list of favorites, I have never seen anything quite like it.Regards,Jerry MatchettP.S. I did catch the repeating pattern of puzzle pieces, the only fault in the work. Link to comment
Rick Bortnick 2,167 Posted September 18, 2011 Rafael,Excellent execution of your vision. Everything works from the unfinished pieces to the puzzle image itself. This was processed perfectly, tonal values beautiful, framing well done. Thanks for this one.Rick Link to comment
bethsides 0 Posted September 19, 2011 A fantastic composition! Very well thought out. With the "nothingness" in the background, it reminds me of Stephen King's "The Langoliers". Love it!All the best, Beth Link to comment
