Amazing contrasting tones of warmth and cold and light / shadow.  Great crispness and clarity and I love that sweeping curve of the snowcapped peaks. Beautiful landscape.

Best Wishes

Fantastic composition, colors, lines, contrasts....   Those greens and blues certainly add a lot to the photo.  Iceland is a country I hope to visit sometime.

Beautiful contrast, lights and shadows, curves, sharpness, richness in colours , all of this makes this an amazing picture. Well done.

@ Alf

yes, the curve drawn by the snow and hill side immediately attracted my eye and was the source that lead to the picture. We had exceptional light conditions that day, well in Iceland the light is almost always beautiful, but with the clear sky and bright but soft sun it was truly amazing! May the light be with you! Jan

@ David,

thank you for the kind comment! After having spotted the curve in the snow, those green patches were exactly what I was looking for my foreground. If you have the opportunity to go to Iceland some day, GO FOR IT! Regarding the landscape it was certainly one of the most spectacular places I have visited, but regarding the light conditions it was indisputably and by far the best trip I ever made. Cheers, Jan

Hi Jan, this is again a very good landscape from you. Clearly Velvia, but not clearly not overcooked. The foreground appears a bit busy at the first glance, but after a while my eye can find a path to the curves of the snow-clad mountain. The green areas add much to the image IMO. Must look nice as a large print, a lot of details to discover. Best regards. Peter
