I chose the title in the whim of the moment. Nothing special. I just think

that using a title is a good practice. The PN designers and

administrators put it there for a reason. I mention this because there is a

member that thinks that "titles are dreadful". I do not agree with that

person's critical comment on titles in general, and believe that titles

provide the opportunity to skew the comment or criticism, instead of

focusing on the overall work, the plastic, photographic content, and the

more subjective context. Well, for what is worth, enough about the

discussion on "titles". Rather, please let me know your comments or

criticisms. Thank you.

I am all in favour of titles for several reasons.  As the photographer I think it is our choice to decide if we wish to lead the viewer in any chosen direction by mean of the title. Similarly if we choose to be more anonymous about our intentions we can simply give the image a less definitive meaning. One other reason I persoanlly like to use titles, is simply because I can remember images through a title and find them from the multitude of files I keep with ease. This is more difficult with numbers as word association just doesn't come into the equation.

The title of this image suggests to me a celebration of colour and the burnt effect that is evident.  The general aesthetics are pleasing in an artful interpretation of the work, but I would be inclined to have the flower positioned slightly to the right leaning more into the image rather than out of it.

Well done Daniel!

Best Regards
