A beautiful scene with that fabulous gradient in the sky, and the excellent composition. The iron man, and the ship really make the whole shot work. Well done Alf!

All the best,
Neil

Judy and I both had a look viewed larger.   Judy thought it dramatic and the colours just wonderful.  I loved the colours and the detail on the ship, but thought it tranquil .  We both missed your mention about the 'man" being a statue, and had assumed it was a subject who had looked at the ship or ferry then looked away.

The total composition is wonderful, with the image of the man complementing the image of the ferry.

Excellent !

Jim

PS - Judy will generally only venture through to look at your photos.

Hi Alf

Great image.  I like the silhouette.  i first wanted to comment that it would have been even a stronger image if the man would be walking.  After reading your comment I know now this will never happen....

Well done,

Ben

The colours from the long exposures were really vivid, on some of the shots they look totally surreal. Thanks for looking in and for your encouraging words. I'm pleased you liked this one.

Nearly everyone that viewed this image thought it was a man, but then I can understand that,, it would seem so unlikely to place a statue on a beach. let alone 100 of them all the same and all looking out to sea. It relly is a fascinationg place to visit.

I'm really pleased that yourself an Judy enojoyed viewing the image and so interesting that you both has slightly different impressions.  Its feedback like this that makes it all worthwhile.

Sincere Thanks

Alf

PS Tell Judy I'm very honoured : - )

BEN

If I could get a photo of this man walking I'd a be a milionaire : - )  But I'm very pleased you like this one Ben. Many thanks for your interest and kind comments

Great shot of the Crosby coastline and sunset. I love the boat with its light on the horizon giving the scene that extra depth.

JOHN

Good to hear from you! I hope you are keeping well. The sunset was vivid on this particular evening, just a pity the wind refused to drop, but I still managed to get a few long exposures that look interesting. I haven't seen you post any new material for a while John, but hopefully you'll share a few images from your trip to Anglesey?

Sincere Thanks

Alf

I thought that I had already commented on this beautiful image, guess I didn't push the button.

The composition is perfect yet simple.

It seems to inspire thoughts; Farewell, Hello, Wish I was on that thing and I don't care where it's going, Good riddance, you lousy.....  etc.

STEVE

Many thanks for your thoughts and comments. I must say I shared the same thoughts when I thought of returning to work the next morning, thoughts of sipping a G & T on deck that ship, ice tinkling in the glass whilst I light my cigar with a page torn from my contract of employment.......I knew it was a fantasy of course I don't even smoke :- )

Cheers Steve
