heather_boers 0 Posted August 7, 2011 I tried kind of a crazy crop here, much of the picture left out. I think it kind of looks like it is pointing to the sky above. Does this work at all? Just as another option? Link to comment
mike_palermiti 3 Posted August 8, 2011 Hi Heather,You accomplished to present the rainbow pattern against the blue sky.Well shot.My suggestion is that you provide the Details as to the camera, lens and setting used to make the capture. It is helpful to PN members to see what and how you used your gear.To those professionals like myself, we can offer better advise to you , knowing the facts behind the scene.Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
heather_boers 0 Posted August 8, 2011 Thanks for writing Mike, and I'm glad you like it. ...it looks like I can't add the info back where it initially should have gone...I will add it from now on...but for now, I have a Nikon D3000 with the original lens...details are shot at 44.0 mm, @ 1/320, f9, ISO 100. This is just a small part of the original photo which is in my portfolio. I am putting a couple things in a show and I wonder which photo is nicer, this or the larger original...I've looked at this barn so many times with different shots it's all Greek to me now! Gratefully, Heather Link to comment
mikeosmond 0 Posted August 8, 2011 Hi Heather, this works wonderfully for me and I think it has to do with it's stark simplicity. By removing much of the picture, you've left just enough to create an image that tells the story in just a few simple colours juxtaposed against that stunning blue sky. I love the almost abstract feel of it.Lovely work - congrats and regards,Mike Link to comment
