pnital 36 Posted August 7, 2011 It is a touching photo , as the bride does not look as having a sunny day in her life. Her poze and hair are creating a sad moment as if she is running from something not only from the man with his camera, that is my feeling. The photographer and your title are enhancing my feeling. I wonder if I'm right? ;-)) Very good timing and well composed.( a small nit, try to wotk a bit on the back of her dress which is a bit overexposed but it is a difficult light situation, but worth the image). gunnar1664882369 1 Posted August 8, 2011 Thank you, Pnina so much for your comment! I may confirm that everything was fine with the bride actually:-). But I like your concept, the scene looks so indeed. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 13, 2011 There always seems something oddly touching (and a little sad) to me about wedding photos. We recognize that this is a landmark event in our lives and do our damndest to elevate and preserve it in photographs. Indeed, here in Japan, the wedding ceremony and reception seems more about "photo opportunities" than the thing itself. The staged photographic moment now has become an integral part of the ritual and the picture has become more real than what it portrays. Maybe we can no longer trust the emotional resonance of our memories without an accompanying visual record. Link to comment
