yanzhang 1 Posted July 7, 2011 This image was a result from my 4 weeks patiently waiting for the right weather and light conditions: the tree was illuminated by the moonlight coming behind the camera and some thin clouds floating in the air, plus it was a very calm night. A quite long exposure captured the movement of stars and clouds above this graceful tree, which seemed interesting. Thanks for viewing this image. Link to comment
richard_john_edwards 0 Posted July 7, 2011 Gracefull and simple, sometimes its the simple things in life that bring us the greatest rewards and the greatest peace. this image with its simplicity in composition, its simplicity in colour balance make it a great image. it is so well balanced and the (if not photoshoped) movement in the sky give it the movement that is neccesary for balancing the timelessness of the tree standing gracefully in the scene. very well done, for me this is Excellent and deserves a 7 Link to comment
jill_normore 0 Posted July 7, 2011 Compositionally, the image is very good- the sky, the tree and the ground are fairly proportionate. I love how the light rays in the sky draw my eyes upward. The fact that the tree is not centred provides interest. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted July 7, 2011 Solitary trees are one of my favorite subjects, and this is very nicely composed and illuminated. I also appreciate your willingness to wait for the right conditions to get the photo you envision in your mind. Your patience and persistence are great attributes. Link to comment
llgarcia 1 Posted July 7, 2011 The 'decisive moment' clearly illustrates here in your image otherwise it would not have come out as dramatic as this. Beautiful 'single tree landscape', well exposed and composed. Regards! - Lester Link to comment
