This is my humble tribute to Claude Monet, one of the finest in the last two

centuries. His house at Giverny, France had been the subject matter of

some of his art. The famous series on Water Lilies were all painted there.

The house is a tourist attraction now. I am trying to reproduce one of his

work through photography of the actual site where he got the subject.

Thanks for viewing.

I like the idea, and the colours are great, but as Monet was an impressionist maybe you could use some blur to match his particular style. Nicely done!

Best Regards

@Pierre: Thanks

@Alf: Very true, the 3D effect with impressionism is very hard to reproduce in camera, a little bit more of digital alteration is required. The green hue was already pronounced in the original and I couldn't tweaked a bit of blue in it as were his Water Lilies. Thanks for the inputs.

The composition isn't that bad. Next, it's just a poisoned pond and Monet probably would have thrown your camera in it. And he would have been right..!

Ha Ha!! I would not mind jumping to get my camera back, maybe Monet would have come out with another original and name it something like "The Toxic Photoshoot" ;-)

Both the idea and execution are great but I agree with Alf to an extent. Compositionally, do you think a slightly lower angle and a shift to the left would have worked better?

Monet Water lilies were always on my mind. May be I was trying to get the exactness of his paintings, maybe something played one my mind subconsciously. The lilies never finish as you might have thought on the left side. It is a large pond. You should visit it once.
