davidmccracken 2 Posted May 14, 2003 I think I can answer this question myslef. I like this picture for many reasons. The model's eyes are almost level and this was natural. I didn't have to ask her to 'tilt' her head. The hair contrasts her very symetrical face. She does have a dimple in her left cheek but it doesn't jump out at you. It could be argued that with as good a model as this, anyone could take a good photograph. I have a tendency to agree. I only met this girl the once and I only took this one photograph. Please do not feel you have to critique the signature and font at the bottom of this photograph. I know it is horrendous and future uploads will have a more subtle and pleasing 'signature.' dueyx 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Looks nice....its a shame you could only get 1 photo of her..good job Link to comment
RobertChura 0 Posted May 20, 2003 It is a great smile and it does take a good photographer to get one. I like the straight on shot and the hair in the face as well. The only negative comments I could state are 1. The background seems a little bright (Photoshop or simple burning in slightly) 2. The color seem slighty off. I am certainly not a color expert but it seems a little cyan. Overall it is a very charming portrait! Link to comment
tebaugh 0 Posted June 8, 2003 I really like this one. I dont find the background to bright or even blown out. Its perfect. The background lighting really brings the model to the fore front. Her eyes and smile are beautifully captured. Well done! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 17, 2003 I like this one as well, its simple and natural. The colours are good in my opinion, and the lines in the background somewhat frames the subject. The slight softness compliments her skin.. Link to comment
sean_oflaherty 0 Posted June 29, 2003 I looks to me like the heir in front of her face is what is in focus and not her eyes. Although her eyes are not really noticeable out of focus. Link to comment
jamesmorophotography 0 Posted November 26, 2003 what a sweet smile. the lighting is right where it needs to be, and the way her hair falls on her face makes her all the more attractive. I could see this girl in some 'asian Gap' add (maybe it's the scarf w/o jacket thing). the only thing I'd change is to darken her eyebrows slightly to focus the attention more on her eyes. amanda mumma 0 Posted February 7, 2004 I agree with your interpretation but I love the way the light falls on her, just softly modeling her face from the side. Gorgeous dimple! Link to comment
nick g 0 Posted March 23, 2004 This is my favorite shot in this folder. I like the lines defined by her hair and scarf...they compiment the geniune smile that she has on her face. Great job. Link to comment
