I am just starting out in photography, and I am especially weak in

portraits. I would appreciate ratings and helpful comments.

If you are just starting out, and these are your pictures, then you are a natural. Strange that you say portraits are your weak spot, because it is where your work stands out. This photo, for instance, is touching and warm. I prefer it a 100 times to the near pornography that a lot of people put forth as their work. Your pictures of the kids I assume are yours, and this woman I assume is you wife are wonderful. Don't get a big head now. When a lot of talent is given, very good results are expected. You have no excuse if your pictures are not top notch.
