I like the composition of this Stephen ......................... converging lines, reflections and great sky ......................... I wonder what it would look like in B&W but I wonder that about most images ...................... Very cool perspective !

Does this composition lack a central object to focus on? What are

the pictures shortcomings? Any ratings or comments are greatly

appreciated!! thanks...

Nice cropping job. The vertical panoramic makes the clouds seem like they're about to come down and crush you. Quite a tense shot.

 

To my eyes, this photo doesn't need a "subject". The converging lines, and brigher sky towards the horizon force my eyes to move, and create a subject in themselves.

Stephen !!! Very nice capture ... btw, if you cropped it, how does the original image look like ? I don't like manipulation with the pictures, but this one made me think about it. If it's done the right way, you gain beautiful (and striking like this is) pictures ... :) -Veronika-

I think composition is well done. Object of focus, to me, is canal. Clouds and reflections add character.

This image was not cropped, in fact it was Anti-cropped! I pieced this image together from 2 seperate shots. One was metered on the sky, and the other was metered on the canal. If I had a 4 stop ND gradient, a wide angle lens, more money and patience, I suppose I could have achieved the same effect. There are lots more examples of using this technique in my folders...
