kim_roberts 0 Posted June 14, 2011 This furry creature is so visible from far away that it is so hard to hide, even in the thickest branches. Sadly, I did not see it ever again. Hope that it is fine, munching nuts and seeds. And if anyone can explain if this is a specimen of white squirell or just an albino variant? Thank you. Link to comment
mrccpa 0 Posted June 14, 2011 White squirrels are quite common here in our "neck of the woods" (western NC), and you can even attend a "White Squirrel Festival" in Brevard, NC. I don't think this is an albino as the eye is dark; not red as I believe it would be if it was a true albino. Link to comment
sheilareeves 0 Posted June 16, 2011 We have quite a few of these white squirrels in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They are not albinos. They sure are pretty! Link to comment
