steveshinn 0 Posted June 5, 2011 The dof is perfect for this one Dominick, Is this the Island version of an RTH?Nice to see the front end of these birds :-) Link to comment
mike_palermiti 3 Posted June 5, 2011 Dominick,My anatomy for rating this a "7".Technical merits are excellent. The use of 1.4X teleconverter with the F/2.8 lens did allow the lens to provide the best details that were possible. I know, I have the same lens/camera, etc.The sharpness and color saturation suggests that you used a shutter speed adequate enough to stop any motion from the bird.Focus is where it needs to be.Great image !Regards, Mike Link to comment
lintrathen 15 Posted June 6, 2011 ................. Mike has said it all. An outstanding capture with "spot" on focussing......................well done.Regards Link to comment
dom1 1 Posted June 6, 2011 Steve, I just returned to Hawaii after a 30 day, six state tour of the U.S. mainland. So, no, this bird’s not local. As time permits, I’ll post more. Mike, Grayham, Alex, Keith, Ruud, Michael, and Wendy, thanks for your comments. I surely got lucky. Link to comment

tm_j 30 Posted June 8, 2011 Well, I had thought it's a closed-up head shot but that feet that stuck out of the beak is something else. TFS! Link to comment
