Here is a good example of why one spends the money on big-fast super telephoto lens.

The color accuracy , sharpness , and stop action ability is because of the lens.

Steve,  you controlled the lens and your efforts resulted in an outstanding image.

Great job !

Mike

I totally agree with Mike. Larger view must must see for all to get the perfect taste of it. Wish to give you 14 for it, but I can't . . . . . . 7+++++ for this one and straight to my favorite folder. Thanks for sharing.
All the best to you. Warm Regards.

This frontal capture is really fantastic, very good the eye contact and the sparkling droplets, ciao Giangiorgio

(For these kind of photos the great telephoto lens sometimes is a great help, but behind the lens must be a great photographer)

Wow! Fantastic shot Steve! Love the crisp detail compliments of that fast shutter speed. Nicely done guy!

All the best,

Thank you all for viewing and for your very kind comments.  When wildlife, luck and a lens cooperate it can be wonderful.

Nothing shy of fantastic. I doubt that is anything I don't like about it.

Remarkable work you got 7 from me.

Wow! Look at that! Perfect timing and capture. You were very well spotted for that photo. Love the splash of water and the details.

Cheers :)

Well Borut who knows what's in that water... I surely would not drink it.
I'll vote for all of those "Omega-3 fish oils" that he must be getting.

So margarine with fish oil. I knew it in advance. I bought before Ernest Hemingway "Old Man And The Sea". Thank' s for your trouble.
