random black and white No Place for Children?

This shot was taken late afternoon in Boston during a Mumia March

attached to a Green Party protest prior to the elections. I think

the strength here is the contrast between the child in the foreground

and the police, ambulance and barracade in the back.

Mike - With photos like this you have to ask yourself, is it telling the story? Can someone look at the picture and tell what is going on?

This shot lacks action and emotion which is very needed for a protest photo.

If you want to show the contrast between the child and the police, then look for them to be a lot closer together, there needs to be action on one or both their parts, and the background in this does nothing for the shot. Also remember composition and exposure rules.
