But if I were going to apply it to this daffodil then I would have make some changes.First, only portions of the leaves are in sharp focus here. And because their coloring is rather monochromatic that doesn't create any sense of drama.Second, you're drawing the eye to the center of the flower with your use of spot color and that area is blurry. Doesn't work for me, at least not without muting the spot color, feathering the edges. I believe a gradual blend from yellow to white would have served you better there.And the lighting on the daffodil is completely washing out detail.So in summary - I'd start with a better shot that improves the original lighting and focus and I'd feather the spot selected for color.
