plangereis 0 Posted April 4, 2011 Hi Wanghan. I love this shot. You have chosen a unique perspective from all the Wave shots I have seen so far, and the colour is fantastic, as well as the details. The colour contrast between the sky and the rock formations is exceptional. I am planning on going there next spring, and hope I get as lucky as you! Take care.Paul Link to comment
w-j-li 0 Posted April 4, 2011 Paul,We were lucky and we got the lottery 4 times and the weather was good, too. However, we did not get any luck in 2010. Everytime, we started 2 hours before the sunrise at the trailhead, and on the way to the wave, we could take some pictures. For the wave itself, the best time is around noon with no or less shadow. Around the wave, you could find a lot of interesting forms or rocks, such as the brain rocks. You could take your last pictures at the "second wave" close to the sunset. We are never satisfied with our pictures about the seond wave though we did stay late twice. Have a good luck. Thanks. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 285 Posted April 18, 2012 Geologists can tell what is it, layers of lava or something else! We can say only that's most interesting subject for shooting!Best regards Wanghan!PDE Link to comment
