possibly he deals in illicit stuff... perhaps his not moving wasn't so bad after all...

Or maybe he was tired of being 'colorful' for the photographers and decided he would show his real feelings.  I'm not saying it was you OR him, I'm just being open to the idea that maybe your attitude was showing. 

People who don't want their photos taken have a moral right not to have it taken.  You might have been in the wrong to take it.

He appeared out of the clear blue. He was not in the viewfinder when I  framed the shot. I did not want his picture; I only wanted the shop because of the gray scale tones. And, so I asked him to move "please". As I replied to Tatjana above he could have cared less if I was not Israeli. He acted hateful to me. I get fucking tired of that and so I took the picture anyway and put it in the title. He lost his "moral right". Thank you for your ideas and input.
