landscape - utah Stones of Sands

Monument Valley on March 13th after spending several days down in the

Grand Canyon. I was trying to make Monument Valley a few hours before

sunset to find several ideal shooting locations, but managed to make a

wrong turn and ended up at Lake Powell, about 2 hrs in the wrong

direction...don't ask! Anyways, here an image I took...one just before the

sun hit the horizon bringing out some intense oranges...and the second as

the sun was starting to hide, with a more subdued color. Comments are

welcomed. Thanks!!

Taking a wrong turn was probably the best thing. The colors and lighting are beautiful. I love the golden glow on brush and the top of the "Mitten" The touch of clouds are an added bonus. Very well done.

I hope you were able to capture a few images at Lake Powell.

Wonderful shot.. with Excellent color rendition. 

Lost or not, you really got a great image here.  I went through there after dark.  Similar situation....

Very nice and perfect timing. I wish I could go back to this place and shoot again at around the time of the day when this picture was taken.
