marc_dilley1 0 Posted March 28, 2011 A winter sunrise above the Washington rock climbing formation known as Martian Slab. C&C welcome. Link to comment
gladys_waite 0 Posted March 29, 2011 A beautiful scene that has been captured very well. It's tonal range is too compressed and in my humble opinion could use some 'punch' in port processing to make it more aesthetically pleasing to me. I have made a changes and it is probably not what you saw but it is more appealing to me. Link to comment

gladys_waite 0 Posted March 29, 2011 One more time: PS I think a density should somewhere between mine and yours and may be the way to go? Snow in the shade goes blue and when the red component of the sun hits the shaded snow it becomes mauve/pink which does not match the orange sun - not that it has to do so. Just some thoughts. marc_dilley1 0 Posted March 30, 2011 OK. I see now what you're driving at. Your version is too flat for me, but I will try lightening some mid tones and see what comes of it. Link to comment
marc_dilley1 0 Posted March 30, 2011 I brightened some of the darker midtones with Tony Kuyper's luminosity masks. Link to comment
