Having people in the photo really enables the viewer to appreciate the scale of the arch.  I'm trying to decide if it might be better (or maybe just another alternative) if the two upper portions of the sky were not shown, and instead if you had framed it so that only rock was seen along the top edge.  You can try that simply my scrolling the photo up on the monitor -- what do you think?  You've done a nice job in retaining detail on the shadow side of the arch while still having the other side appropriately exposed; having clouds in the sky probably helped in that regard.
