A new television show 'American Picker's' has quickly become one of

our favorites of late. Two brothers travel America searching for 'old

American Antiques' of all kinds. Quite often they visit the homes

of 'hoarders' and it's just amazing just what 'JUNK' some people will not

part with. But then again, as they say, 'One man's JUNK is another

man's TREASURE'. (thanks for viewing, Gail)

Gail,Well composed ,muted colours & background with a textured overlay looks more like a watercolour painting.   As you say something from the past.                  Regards John

I don't know if you can get the show where you live, but they find some of the most unusal and sought after antiques.  I'm sure if you search it on the internet you'd find their site.  Thankyou for that very kind critique Radu.  I appreciate you and your thoughts on my images.  Kind regards, Gail

Gail, I really like the collection of objects and the wooden bench they are sitting on. The golden tones of the background work nicely with the colors of the objects. The painterly texture and spatter effect is great.

Just WOW! Very beautiful artwork with amazing p/p work. So vibrant and vivid colors, apt contrast boost, excellent expression of oldness and anique sense, and then... nice story about it! I enjoyed and pleased for this masterpiece. Bravo.

Its a lovely image with amazing processing. All of us have grown up seeing such mundane items in our everyday life, yet your image arouses a feeling of deja vu. Even as a non-American I can relate to your story. Thanks for sharing. Regards.

The old objects mean a lot to me, they are connected to my experience, feelings, romance(s) if you like, beautiful moments of my life, especially childhood, the best period of everybody's life...yes, they are very, very important!

Cheers Gail!
