It's probably a sign of a lack of artistic vision to photograph photographers

at places where photographers are photographing _things_. And even

worse to construct it.

Excellent image.  Great colours, composition, and post-processing.  My only critiques have to do with posing;  I think her head should be tilting down slightly so we don't see right up her nose, and with her pale skin that little bit of stomach showing is a bit distracting.

Otherwise, awesome shot!

Kyle,

Rather than a sign of a lack of artistic vision, I would call it the realization that a hot girl, especially with a Leica, is always a worthy photographic subject.

She really is a very pretty girl. Your focus, skin tone, contrast, color saturation and her expression are all excellent. I really like the unposed posed street portrait style you have used. I like the lighting. Her make-up and the catchlights are very good. The background is nicely out-of-focus and she is well separated from it.

I don't think all the rules of portraiture need to be applied as stringently to street style portraits as a more formalized portrait. I have to admit I didn't notice looking up her nose that Zack mentioned. I might have noticed it in a more formal portrait.

I do wish the background was all in the darker tones that are below her shoulders. The lighter areas above her shoulders are a tad bothersome.

It bothers me more that there isn't more room in front of her so that her body would be facing into the picture rather than out of it. It makes your left and right compositional balance seem a bit right heavy.

I don't find her skin showing above her jeans to be particularly distracting. Perhaps if her jeans were lower on her hips I would be more distracted. I am not always against a good distraction now and then. ;-)

I find the inclusion your web address on the photograph to be more of a distraction to your subject. It would be quite appropriate to place your name (and the date if you so wished) on a mat surrounding your photograph. Any advertising or other information would be better placed on the back of your photograph.

Nice shot,

Mark
