Felix certainly chose a perfect backdrop to pose against!  I love the crepascular light rays and the filigree lines of the hammock against the prevailing light, almost like a spider web on a frosty morning. The dark contrating upright posts and of course Felix's silhouette completes a perfect picture.

Very well done Jerry!

Best Regards

Alf

Wonderful mood and great light that lets ones imagination run away. Lucky you to have such a visitor on a regular basis. So pretty.

Best regards, Pamela

Hi Pierre, Thanks for the compliment!

Leonardus, I'm very glad you liked it.  A friend of mine told me the absolute best camera you can use...is the one you have with you.  I'm glad I had one handy this morning.

Gary, Thank you, bro.  Makes it worth getting up early once in a while. :)

Alf, Thank you for your comments and kind words.  A bit of luck in this one - I noticed "Felix" on my friend's dock and the sun just breaking over the trees through the mist.  It took me about 1 1/2 minutes to get my camera and back to the pier.  In a period of five minutes, the character of the light (and the magic) completely changed.  I got off about 20 different shots in various compositions and exposures before a pet cat got a little too curious and encouraged Felix to move on.  This was my favorite.

Hi Pamela, Thank you for sharing your thoughts.  Unfortunately, this is at a friend's place, so I don't have personal contact with Felix that often, but I always enjoy seeing him when I do.

Jim, Thanks so much for stopping by.  I certainly appreciate your feedback.

Michael, I appreciate your encouragement.  That means a lot coming from you. Serenity was the foremost in my mind at the time.

Hey Monte, I'm glad you stopped by.  I didn't name Felix, but the story is that he really likes to hang out with a local Osprey, named "Oscar".  I guess "Felix" seemed the natural choice for this half of this "odd couple."

Very Best Regards,

Jerry
