Nice piece!

The range of tones is perfect.  There is just enough reflection from the background to prevent a 'hovering' appearance.  And the darkest shadows on the edge of the subject still stand out from the background.  The textures are captured so well I am sure of how they must feel in my hands.  Also, to me anyway, most images of metal give me the impression they feel either cold or hot, however, to me this firearm feels 'warm'.  Very well done, thanks for sharing.

Technically very well done, looks great, but I'm afraid it is the pistol, not the picture, I mean this is more a technical detail photograph if I may say so, than an art work or such! Six anyway because the picture looks impeccable!

While I won't get into a debate with you I will say this...pretend we both have someone break into our homes with intention to harm our family, perhaps rape our wife or worse.  While you sit there and watch helplessly while the person commits the crime, at my home I stop the person.  I have never killed a human but I would if it meant saving my family from harm.  As for the image...I appreciate any critiques but please keep your comments to the images.

Realy fine capture, a motive is matter of taste, as always..I prefer photos of an old .45 government issues that served ina WW II..
