JimCowan 0 Posted February 22, 2011 This is a very dramatic winter landscape, the low sun and long shadows, the wind carved snow, all work to depicts one of the many faces of winter.Jim Link to comment
BelaMolnar 2 Posted May 4, 2011 Great b&w photograph. My question is, did you taken of the filter from the lens? When shooting against the sun, including the sun, I never leave the filter on the lens. With filters, I getting the same blab of light around the sun, and never had those ugly blobs of light all over my images, without the filters. And more trick in my packet to avoid this. Great image and composition.Greetings from Toronto. Link to comment

BelaMolnar 2 Posted June 23, 2011 Actually, I never using any filter on my lenses, (so called by amateurs, the protection filters. BS. The real protection is the hood, and the hood all the time, and nothing by the HOOD. Even in nights!) Since shooting with digital camera, the only exemption, when I need to slow down the exposure time excessively, or to avoid reflection from leaves or water. To polarize the light. Other exception is the ND and GND filters, if I need them! With a proper technic, even those can be avoided. Cheers. Link to comment
