Nicely captured at it's peak action

You can almost hear that wave crashing when viewing this great and powerful  image. But I do find it a bit over sharpened. I wonder how close Chuck has to get to the water with his very expensive equipment. Wish there was more to read on the Internet about his process. He's a mighty fine photographer.

It is a beautiful composition of curves of the wave cuddling a circular ball of mist. It is the curves of the wave placed diagonally that gives a dynamic feel to the image.
