Winter Berries
Bright red berries on a tree at the local library taken during a snow storm. It was snowing about two inches per hour when I took this. The camera was protected by a plastic bag, except the front of the lens (under its hood) and the controls. I was pretty cold when I finally went inside.Yes, I'm kicking myself for not doing some macro work so that the red berries could have more dramatic effect than they do in this shot, but I still think they give a little life to this one. I haven't really tweaked the color much to get them to come out more strongly, though I'm going to keep playing in P-Shop to see if I can't get the same impact they have on the light table. The brightness in the snow behind the tree is accurate to the slide, but might need to be toned down a little for a print. All comments welcome, of course. Enjoy.
