Hi Paul..... Being newish to the genre of portraiture, I'm somewhat hesitant to comment..... however as this is a new learning curve for me, I'm learning as fast as I can.

Your model is very pretty, but the pose you have created is not too flattering. Outstretched arms tend to cause the shoulders to hunch up and allow any excess arm "muscle" to sag (tuckshop mum's arms). So for me, the pose has created a rather muscular body to a very pretty face. Maybe in PP you could have made her eyes "pop" a little.

The wall shadow is a little distracting.

I find it amazing when people point things out to me, that I never noticed them. The arms in particular. I agree with your comments and I actually chose this pic because of the overall facial expression. I really do need to darklen the background to reduce the shadow. As for those arms......
