Excellent portrait, excellent eyes!

Beautiful portrait, naturally beautiful subject.  I like the muted tones. One thing you can try - if you use Photoshop - that I recently discovered myself is to adjust the levels.  Image/adjustments/levels --> then choose the right end of the top option to pull the end of the range of levels to match the histogram of levels in your photo -- which will result in distributing more of the bright/lighter tones into the range of output.  Just an option. Your portrait is beautiful.
