This is Beautiful! I didn't know what I was looking at when I saw the thumbnail (I thought maybe stars). You did an awesome job. Congrats on a very cool image.

Be careful John. There are a vast number of people here in the Photo.net community who LOVE to look for "fresh meat". You will get all kinds of harsh ratings (especcially the numbers for asthetics and originality) You will find that lots of people are more than happy to tell you that your work is all wrong. Just remember to keep a tough skin & take nothing personally. You will find some gems in their suggestions, but you have to hunt. Good luck.

Michael.

Incidentally, I like this picture, its abstract enough to make you look harder. I thought it was snowflakes the first time I looked at it...keep up the good work.

I can attest to the fresh meat comment.. I also just recently posted work for critique.. However, I liked the feedback very much!! I do like the graphic nature and how it contrasts with the blue sparkling water in the background... Also didn't know what it was when I first saw it. Thought it was ice on tree branches.....

Well, having been called "a F#$%ing liar" by a priest in a previous job, I think I've got the 'don't take it personal' part down... :)

If you've got the time, check out my other stuff also - I'd hate to commandeer the Critique section with 30 "please critique this"'s.

I think this one is my favorite from your portfolio. I was attracted by the simple perfection of both composition and color. I think it conveys a moment and a feeling very well.
