JamieK 1 Posted January 19, 2011 Thanks For Letting Me Know.I like it. I don't remember seeing images from you with black backgrounds before, so I particularly like that, because even if you have made them that way before, it's now like a step backward to omit the backgrounds you've become so very skilled at making, so it seems like a step out of the comfort zone. That's always to be applauded. I also like it that you can imagine that you are viewing a bit of the fish through the distorting lens of the the wine. The shadows on the fish seem obviously wrong, which I probably like the most. j Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 270 Posted January 19, 2011 Maurizio, your comment is short, but with essential true statement! Ciaomau!Jamie, thank you for your thorough exploration! There are three PSD files gathered together on this picture. I did some special effort for the top of the fish to appear through the wine! And there are no shadows, the tail was cut that way on the original fish, my wife's guilt, ha!PDE Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted January 19, 2011 I really like this my friend! I am still trying to teach my wife how to do breading/battering on fish...I also noticed how the batter on the closer fish makes it look like a fat, little, shark. That must be 'your' fish... ;-)The overall design is Simple Yet Elegant... not surprising from you. Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted January 19, 2011 good to know what you are doing. I appreciated the information about the dancing one also, but there were so many comments in between that i thought it would be difficult to refer back to the original in a response. j Link to comment

gardena 0 Posted January 20, 2011 Interesting, but this fish look as if they are floating just a little bit above the black background. The wine looks good! Link to comment

t37traveler 0 Posted January 21, 2011 What a beautiful and unusual still life! I particularly like the contemporary feel that the black and gray background gives it. So "Dutch Masters" in color and light, so 21st century in content and composition. Superbly done from the fried fish to the rainbow in the glass of wine. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted January 21, 2011 So, is this your interpretation of the parable of the fishes? Will you use them to feed the world? Intriguing still-life.My best, michael Link to comment
