starvy 7 Posted January 31, 2011 For me it is all in the colours. The depth of field is very flattering indeed but I love the vibrancy of the aged man's portrayal. I see a faint smile. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 1, 2011 I always thought that this is a remarkable story telling image and the fainting back ground adding very interesting touch to it, I am glad it is been selected to be the POW. Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted February 1, 2011 Beautiful portrait of an old man, passionating reading his paper (who is Korkutamaz ? A Kurdish(?) Muslim name).I certainly like the chosen DOF, but I find it somewhat disturbing to see the walls behind, falling in different directions. What happened in the post processing that made the walls fall apart? It cannot, as far as I can see, be the effect of a wide angle lens, unless it has been severely cropped. All together however a very good portrait that marks.Congratulations to Mehmet. Link to comment
