I like the facial expression of this car =-) Good choice of BW the only disturbing factor I find is the black pole - tree ? starting above the left lamp. Maybe something to try the PSE intelligent cloning on. Ben

The B&W here made for a nice image of the old Buick Eight! I like the older buildings in the background with just the right DOF to show enough details to recognize their age and yet makes the newer vehicles to the left of the frame not very distinct. As well, the reflections are not over bearing, and the details of the grille are very good.

Nice image,

Very, very beautifull photo and "model" also. I love how you used the B/W tones and composition. Congratulations. Cosmin

Some good points being made on this shot.  I think it has more going for it than against.  Without even seeing the colour version I think B&W was indeed the best choice here.  Classic look for a classic car.  Beautiful finish.  I usually like more space around a subject but your close crop seems to accentuate an already wide angle view of this old gem.  Also, it's usually a real challenge to get a decent shot of a car on the street or at a car show without a lot of distractions in the background, both from other cars and people milling about.  You did well as the surroundings seem to fit and still would even if it had been taken 60 years ago.  Ben makes a valid point about one distraction but a person skilled in Photoshop should be able to offer an easy solution.  My guess is that the perfect placement of the hood ornament against the windshield was no accident either.  Nice result for your efforts.  Best, LM.

One thing, did you blur out the background with software? somehow it seems odd that just above the roof of the car the background is kind of on focus, and the back part of the first parked car on the left seems to have some darker part a little more on focus that the rest. Very nice picture!
