Clear Sailing 2

terry_butler1

This is a reworking on one I posted earlier. I had a couple of comments that the bottle needed to look like it had more "volume". So I spent a few more hours working on reflections and highlights to make the bottle look more round. Would love to hear if people think this is an improvement over the other version that can be found in my ship in bottle folder. Ratings would be great too. Thanks.

This is a second try at improving the realism for this one.

The other is in my folder. Comments and ratings are always

appreciated and I almost always look at the folders of those who

leave them.

6 and 6, I like this better than the original, which I had given 6 / 5. Now it is maybe a little too rounded, but I still love it.

Very well done ........................... A nice variation might be to add a white puffy cloud or two ............................. and something subtle in the water ................... a message floating in a bottle perhaps ......... whale's tail in the distance ............ not sure but well done as is.

I actually thought about the whale tail or better yet, porpoises jumping near the bow but didn't have the perfect photos to work with for those.

I still may add those into one of these later. I like the message in a bottle idea, too.

Cool ................... something subtle ............ like a cloud and a bottle ..................... I had thought of your suggestion but I couldn't spell poorpuss ............................ smiling out loud.

Excellent job! I looked at your previous version, this is a vast improvement! Well done, great Photoshop work! I really like the three-dimensionality of the bottle! Just a suggestion, but maybe you might try placing the bottle a bit askew, so it looks a bit more natural on the waves. Great job!

Thought about that but rejected the idea because I thought it more important to make the ship more naturally placed on the sea. It's just a matter of preference I guess.

Terry, This is a very interesting photograph. I am pretty hopeless doing anything with photoshop, so admire those that can do this sort of thing. Looks good.
