Cloud & Tracks

I love this photo for it's beauty in simplicity. This in one of the rare occasions where the horizon dividing the frame in half doesn't bother me at all. Nice job!!!

James, thanks for the comment.  While it was the tracks in the field that initially attracted my attention, clouds were drifting by, and this one just happened to fit in the blue space.  When I first saw it on my monitor, I smiled, and that's a good sign.  This turned out to be one of my favorite photos for 2010.

I think this is one of the occasions when one defis the composition rules with confidence of the result ,two different and nice subjects of completely different colors are dividing the canvas as if it was a composite ,.

Fine colors and light ,and well seen and composed ,good details in the white of the cloud.

While skimming through the thumbnails of your fantastic portfolio, this one jumped out at me.  I can see why it was one of your favorites.  I love it because it is quite unique.  As others have said, it breaks rules, it is simple and unadorned and it conveys a sense of carelessness and bliss in a way that is hard to match.  I could sit and stare at this one for quite a while.  Fantastic job!
