This photo reminds me of home.......I love it! The layers of blue is truly amazing and very calming. The trees in the foreground add the interest to capture the attention of the viewer. I was looking at your personal website (which I love, by the way) and I think you choose the right photo as the front page. Well done!

This is truly a wonderful capture, Stephen!

I was firstly captured by its atmosphere and minimal tonal range which in this case work superbly. After opening up the bigger image, i was delighted with the composition and the depth - from the great, sharp and pointy tree silhouettes all the way to the 5th mountain row, it's all impeccable.

Personally, i might have been tempted to brighten up just a bit the upper part, but that's a matter of personal taste. Anyway, it's a glorious image and i can totally see why you've chose it as a background for your site and blog (which are very nice by the way).

Lovely work!

Hi Stephen, this is a great shot in this style. You can get others like this with wildflower foregrounds if you go to Revelstoke in BC around late July. There is a nice road that goes to the top of a local mountain. Evenings are best. I'm going this July if my health permits. I'll give you a ride from Chilliwack if you need one -:). JJ

Well seen and recorded! I find the various tones of blue and their relationship to the peaks absolutely fascinating - my eyes keep moving around all the ridges, and I find it difficult to look away from this picture.

The ridgelines are so sharp and crisp.  The trees are perfectly exposed (entirely shadowed).  Great all-around shot!

Hi Stephen.  I like this image.  The layers you have captured so well, as well as the colour scheme really makes this image surreal.  Simply lovely!

I love this kind of photos. It looks so mystical like from the other world. And the trees at the foreground are like the viewers of this fantastic nature "cinema".

Thanks to everyone for the comments.  As I mentioned before, I use this shot as the background for my website.  ML, thanks for the heads up -- I would have missed it.
