Elstad 9 Posted December 8, 2010 I've a color version of this too I do and would like your opinion as to which you prefer as I can't seem to decide. Thanks for the look and the write! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 8, 2010 It might have been a good idea to post a link to the colour version along with your critique. I have to say I prefer the black and white to the colour version. The black and white version lets your imagination work a little harder. I am not sure if that makes sense or not. Link to comment
janahughes 0 Posted December 8, 2010 I think both versions have something else to offer, the B&W version gives the model an appearance of a doll on a wooden stand, as the colours are less separated. The colour version gives the photo more human dimension, in my opinion. I think I would opt for the B&W version, as the model is positioned rather unnatural way and I think she is so stunning, she looks almost like a doll herself. But that's just my opinion. All in all, I love this photo, as I do with most of your work. Regards, Jana Link to comment
John Peri 1,034 Posted December 8, 2010 The thing about black and white, and this is only a personal opinion, is that it reduces the "glamour" component of an image, rendering in my view more artisitc. I may be disillusioning myself, but it is the reason why I favour it so much.In this particular case it works equally well for me in both cases. A lovely photo, needless to say. Link to comment
starvy 7 Posted February 29, 2012 Such a surreal feel to this. Compositionally, this is very interesting. Lovely to see the face so sharp compared to the rest, it just adds a touch more intensity. Link to comment
