Elstad 9 Posted January 15, 2013 John sees backstage, I see an elegant woman dressing with the assistance of her chamber maid. A most charming period image, well done and I like it!-r- Link to comment
wmc718 3 Posted January 15, 2013 Wow! Roger, John, and Raymond... you humble me! Thanks so much! While I personally like to leave interpretations of my images to the individual viewer, I do "sometimes" have a theme going in my head, as I'm sure you do as well. In this case, I was after the Victorian look and feel, as I love the fashion from that era. I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot these two lovelies in a man's house who happened to be the landlord for the lady on the left (Heather). This house was amazing... I had never seen the like. Just full of antiques and even some bizarre stuff. It was a great day, and these two models were a joy to work with!So yes, I was after the chambermaid feel in these living room shots. Ironically, last night I watched a wonderful two-part movie entitled "Fingersmith" (avail. at Amazon) which is exactly along this line. I would highly recommend it!Thank you all again!
