MadoGuenette 0 Posted November 24, 2010 I just arrived from Venice. The most beautiful city in the world. I like the rose sky and the clouds. Fantastic composition. Link to comment

gaule 0 Posted November 25, 2010 This is an eye-catching image. The curve of gondolas doesn't really form a barrier to St Mark's, in the distance, and I think the combination of blue and ochre goes quite well. It's interesting to see Venice in this darker light and not alone through the usual prism of dazzling sunshine and brilliant multicolour. Link to comment

alfbailey 4 Posted November 25, 2010 The bright Gondola's in the foreground really capture the attention of the view and the line of uprights with the graduated angles are very pleasing to the eye. Then the great bonus of the sky and the glimpse of wonderful architecture become apparent on the horizon. Great content and depth.Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted November 26, 2010 This is a wonderful image. I like the color and mood of the water and sky against the blue boats? It looks as if you tinkered with the color of the boats, at least in terms of saturation. Looks like you planted that purple one in there. Nice image. For what it's worth, I'd get rid of the black frame. It crowds and suffocates the image too much. A more discreet mat would be better if you need any frame at all. Link to comment
marek_grzelczak1 0 Posted November 27, 2010 Alf: Thanks for you analysis and encouraging words. Appreciate it.Hamid: Thanks. Yes it seems those contrasting colours work well.Larry: Yes you are right, I slightly tuned blue saturation to get it more aggressive. The rest is unchanged. The sky was really impressive in that afternoon and colours were changing very fast. I have followed your suggestion regarding frame; I decreased it half and indeed is better now, thanks. kristina_kraft 0 Posted March 21, 2011 Hi Marek,I really like this two complementary colors, blue and red. The blue gondolas are so prominent standing side by side to one another in order. The city on the horizon makes the image complete and full in composition.P.S. Thanks for a very helpful comment on my photo!Krisi Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted November 5, 2011 There are so many wonderful details in this to enjoy. The building in the background has such a nice light on it. The mood of the glow of the waters adds to the overall appeal as well. The hint of blue sky compliments the blue boats as well. I see one purple boat there as well--another detail! This is exceptional! Link to comment
