marek_grzelczak1 0 Posted November 20, 2010 I think the tones and colors made me clicking on this image.Later I discovered details - hard working red animals.impressive workregards Link to comment
JimCowan 0 Posted November 20, 2010 I was hoping that I would see more in this series. Technically, this is remarkable because it was hand held at 1/15 of a second, the bottom edge of the mushroom is quite sharp, also it is very clean for having been taken at an ISO of 800. I like the way you have framed this with the mushroom close to the edge, as a result there is an oval shape of highlights that the eye can follow. Very creative and magical.Jim Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted November 20, 2010 Pamela, I agree with Jim about the technical exellence of the image.Land of Fairies, indeed. Link to comment
billevoy 0 Posted November 20, 2010 The color is striking. I would have suggested some cropping for detail reduction but the insects would probably blur. Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted November 22, 2010 What I like about this image, is that there is sufficient foliage in focus to give a real flavour of the environment in which you found these delightful fungi. I sometimes think that this element of an image can be lost by peoples obssessional desire to blur everything but the main subject. The beautiful lush vegetation is a delight all by itself, but the gems you found within are remarkable. I've really enjoyed this series.Warmest RegardsAlf Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted December 24, 2010 I see an enchanted forest - well done. I am taking this opportunity to wish you and your family a very very merry Christmas and many great images for 2011. Best regards, Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted December 29, 2010 Most of the good things have already been noted above but I'll add that this offering gives me hope for an early spring or maybe a trip to the closest botanical gardens prior to that. I like the play of yellows and greens and think you've done a fine compositional job in the placement of the major elements. The soft but directional light reminds me of the forest floor on a sunny morning. (not to say I spend that much time there) :-) Might want to carry a can of bug spray with me in case those mites get ugly. Belated Merry Christmas and a more timely Happy New Year. Best, LM.
